Bio Sketch

I am a SALT Astronomer at the South African Astronomical Observatory and an Associate Professor at the University of Antananarivo. I was a SKA SA and PDP post-docs based at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) and at the South African Astronomical Observatory (SAAO).
I received my HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) degree in Astronomy & Astrophysics from the University of Antananarivo, Madagascar. I hold a PhD and MSc in Astronomy from the University of the Western Cape, Cape Town South Africa. I obtained a BSc Hons in Astrophysics & Space Science from the University of Cape Town, and a BSc Hons in Physics from the University of Antananarivo.

Memberships in Astronomical Associations

Individual member of the International Astronomical Union (IAU), and an IAU National Astronomy Education Coordinator (NAEC) for Madagascar.

Professional member of the Malagasy Astronomy and Space Science (MASS).

Professional member of the African Astronomical Society (AfAS).

Junior member of the American Astronomical Society (AAS – 2009-2013).
